CLEAN HOUSE!

This has been one crazy week so far. Sunday was awesome I got to go to church with my sweet family and then I also got to attend another ward because of my calling. I love being in the primary. The children are so important. I believe and I know that children are so important to Jesus Christ. I love the pictures of Him surrounded by children. I know that family is the center of the plan of happiness.

Monday was a big day. I cleaned out my room, and started on the kitchen. We have a built in desk that we keep our T.V. on and we had another desk that had our desk top on it. Well our apartment is not that big and the desk with the desk top was taking up way to much room. We decided to hook up our tower to our T.V. and sell the desk. Now I can have my table open and used for what a table is meant to be used for. between Monday and Today my house is the cleanest its been in a long time. My bathroom is reorganized and cleaned out my bedroom is clean under the bed too, and my kitchen and living room look awesome!!! I can now leave on vacation on Thursday.

I had an awesome opportunity to attend the Temple last night. It was so nice to be there with members from my ward. I love going to the Temple and the peace that it brings into my life. I know that the promises made in the Temple and the blessings the flow from upholding those covenants are one of the greatest blessings in my life. I am so blessed to be sealed to my Husband for all Eternity. We will be together forever.

Tonight something awesome happened. I was laying in bed and the baby started to really move. He or She gave some really good kicks that I could see my tummy move when I called for my Husband to come in He could not see the moves but when I had him put his hand on my tummy he could feel them. I love it when you get to that point where others can feel the baby. I love my family so much!!

If you are curious about some of the words I used in the first paragraph I would like to encourage you to go to www.lds.org.

Last couple days!

So lets see what has been going on since the last time I made a post. Well first it was Sunday which was an awesome day. I love going to Church and learning from all the speakers and teachers. This last Sunday was Fast and Testimony meeting. This is a meeting where the members can get up during our Sacrament Meeting and bare their testimonies to the ward. I love hearing people bare their testimonies. The only hard thing lately has been that Jesse has a hard time sitting through that meeting. I am trying to make him a quite book but have been struggling with it. Any good ideas to help your child during Sacrament Meeting?

On Monday I went to my Doctors appointment and got to listen to the heart beat. The Ultra Sound looked great and my measurements and baby's heart beat were right on. The Doctor did say I could have another Ultra Sound but not until my 24 week check up which is the first week of Aug. I was a little sad that we could not find out before our vacation next week but at least we will get to find out. The Doctor also said that by that time its a little harder for baby to hide. I sure hope that's right!!

Tuesday we did not really do to much. I did however get a good amount of cleaning in my Kitchen done! Yay finally. Now I am on to the bathroom and then the bedrooms. When I walk into my house and can see there are no dirty dishes it sure does make me happy!

Today my sweet boy and I went on a walk and then later in the afternoon the whole family went and through rocks into the canal. My little guy loves doing that. Now my Husband is working and baby is napping so once I am done here I will go clean that bathroom.

I have been feeling baby move a lot more lately and that is a lot of fun. It does seem however that the baby is already preparing me for when he or she comes. My son goes to bed and then that is when I really start to feel the baby move. I feel like that is how my life will be when the baby comes out. My son goes to bed and then baby will think it is time to play!! I like to tell people that once you forget what it was like to be pregnant that is when you start trying for another one!

Well I should really get to that bathroom before my son decides to get up!

Fun and Busy Day!

Today was a fun yet busy day. I had the opportunity to help host a baby shower for one of my closest friends Lauren. It was fun and I had a blast helping with it. Then my husband and I took our sweet boy to the water park here in town. He had a lot of fun but a storm came and so it was really cold when we got out of the water. Then since there was a little Thunder they made everyone get out of the water so we decided to leave then. Our little guy was still too cold anyways. We really want to bring him back one more time this Summer.

Tomorrow I have a meeting for Church at 7:30 I just hope I wake up to my alarm. It will be great we have not had a chance to meet in a while so it will be good to meet and discuss all the Children and Primaries in our stake. www.lds.org is a great site to look up some of the words I just used! Then I will come back home and make sure my boys are ready to go and we will go to Church. I am excited because the class Teaching No Greater Call just started and my Husband and I love going to that class together.

I am feeling the baby kick or move more and more and I am excited for my Doctors appointment on Monday. I hope He will let us get another Ultra Sound to see if we can find out the Gender of the baby. If we do not get to find out then I guess we will just have to wait and be surprised. Well I am off to bed I have to get up early tomorrow =)

Stay at home mom mishaps

Okay another question for all you stay at home moms and or stay at home wives. I am terrible at keeping the kitchen clean. I hated the chore when I was younger and I still hate it now. Then when my Kitchen is a mess I convince myself I cannot clean the rest of the house until the Kitchen is done. HELP!! How do you all do it??

4th of July

We had one busy day today. We went to the parade and my sweet boy only lasted for the first five min of the parade before he had, had enough. We did get there about an hour before it started and then it took almost an hour for the parade to get to where we were sitting. Well we went home and let him take a nap and once he was up we packed a lunch and walked to the nature park and had a little picnic. It was while we were there that we discovered he is getting some more teeth. He did not like when we stopped to eat but once we were moving he was just fine. After nature park we came home to cool down and then not long after that we left again to go to our Church activity. We all had a lot of fun there. Once we got home we cleaned the living room and built a fort with our couch and pillows in the hallway. I think my husband might have had more fun than our son haha.

I decided that since we have our Family Home Evening on Thursdays (Since my husband works on Mondays) that we would call it Family Home Evening Fort night. We are going to build a fort on Thursdays and have our FHE in it. It worked well tonight. It is awesome to see our sweet boy fold his arms when we say its time for prayer. I really believe that he watches everything we do and learns so much more from our example than anything else. It makes me more aware that I really need to be careful with what I do and what I say so that he always has a good example to look up too.

Preparing for baby number 2

To all you moms out there if you read this please leave me a comment. I have had this question on my mind all night long. How do you prepare for baby number 2? How do you prepare your first child? How do you prepare yourself? How do you give the same love and attention you give to your first baby to the second one and keep giving that same love to the first? As I tried to fall asleep last night I realized that I am half way done with this pregnancy and soon will have two wonderful children to care and love for. This is a big responsibility and one I look forward to. I would just like to prepare in some way. Any advice??

True then and now and always.

So tonight I was doing scripture studies with my Husband and over the last few weeks we have been studying the fall of Adam and Eve. After we read the scriptures that we wanted to read we decided to look up a talk. In the search bar I typed in the Fall of Adam and Eve and we found a talk given by President Kimball given in 1978. Wow that's a long time ago....well for me anyways =) As we started reading the talk something really neat happened, my testimony of what a Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is grew a ton. He spoke on the importance of the family and keeping the home protected. The best way to really explain how His talk directly applies to what is going on in the world today is to quote him.
"There may be some who would disregard this and ignore the important things, yet we feel that almost everyone who stops to think of this and weigh it will conclude that when the home is destroyed, the nation goes to pieces." He goes on to say "We have the lingering, ominous suspicion that the proponents of many programs pay little attention, if any, to the sanctity of the home and the family." Spence W. Kimball The True Way of Life and Salvation 1978 April General Conference.

I stand by the Church's statement made just a few days ago:
"Regardless of the court decision, the Church remains irrevocably committed to strengthening traditional marriage between a man and a woman, which for thousands of years has proven to be the best environment for nurturing children." (http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/church-responds-supreme-court-marriage-rulings) I believe that the family is the center to the plan of Salvation and that marriage can only be between a man and a woman. I believe what President Kimball said that when the home is attacked that our nation will go "to pieces."

I also wanted to let everyone know that on Monday I have a Doctors appointment and will get to find out if we can do another Ultra sound or not. Also because I go to a different place for my Ultra sounds they have to send my information to my Doctor and then I wait to hear from the Dr. to know how everything is. The Dr. office called today and said baby looks great and developing normally. Yay!!

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and we have some fun activities planned. We are going to go watch a parade and then hang at home just the family. Then we have a ward activity (Church activity) planned for that evening. Happy 4th of July everyone be safe.

Still waiting

Today we got to see our sweet little baby. Unfortunately the baby did not want to show us their gender. The baby kept their legs crossed the entire time. The ultra sound tech could not get a good view to be able to tell if the baby is a boy or a girl. So I hope that the Dr. will allow us to go back and get another ultra sound. Until then we do not know what we are having. Life is still good and the Church is still true.

First time blogging.

Well this is the first time I have ever done a blog so here it goes. I have a sweet and wonderful Husband and a loving son. We are expecting our second child and will get to find out the gender tomorrow!! We are very excited.

I am not exactly sure what you write on a blog but for my first post I think I will keep it simple. I will tell a little about myself and go from there. My name is Jennifer and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was married for time and eternity to my Husband in the LA temple in Aug of 2009. I am more in love with him today than I was the day I married him. My sweet little boy will be two in December and will have a little brother or sister in November. I couldn't be happier. I love the Gospel and am proud to say I am LDS.

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that through Him I can repent of my sins and return to once again live with my Heavenly Father. I believe that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet called of God and that he is the mouth piece for our Lord. I know that families can be together forever and that they are the most important part of the plan of Salvation.

Well I will keep you posted on what the gender of our baby is and all the exciting things that are to come with my sweet family. The Church is true.
